Hello!

I grew up in Germany and lived in England for over 15 years. German is my native language while I speak English at bilingual level.

I changed my career to work as a translator (from English to German and vice versa) more than four years ago, so it's no secret that I love "commuting" between both languages and cultures rather frequently (if not dwelling in both simultaneously).

My background is in architecture. After completing my studies at Hochschule München (Dipl.-Ing. (FH)) and UCL London (MSc) I have worked in both Munich (Germany) and London (United Kingdom) for many years.

Through my own experience of progressing from basic English knowledge to a near native level of speaking the language, I am aware of the needs of anyone learning English as a foreign language.

Raising my bilingual child and transitioning into translation work soon also nudged me into tutoring children, parents and grandparents alike.

I believe in learning through enjoyment – strengthening confidence and tapping into the individual learner's interests, thereby creating the desire and ambition to build on and improve existing knowledge and to ultimately reach our personal language goals (whichever these may be).

My tutoring sessions will therefore be tailored to the students' needs and flexibly adapted to their pace and path of progress.
