English and Modern Studies Tutor for National 5 and Higher

I have a 2:1 degree from the University of Glasgow in Sociology and I am a part-time yoga instructor, looking to branch out and help students in high school combat those National 5 and Higher exam jitters! As I was taking Higher and Advanced Higher exams as recently as 2018, I am familiar with the current curriculum and would be able to provide the necessary and accurate preparations for these course examinations. Having completed a degree in the subject of Sociology, I am well versed to teach a variety of essay-styles, presentation preparation techniques and applying social theory to abstract data. Undertaking courses such as anthropology, criminology and philosophy at university allowed me to examine the eclectic ways in which to view our contemporary world.

I would be able to tutor pupils who may need assistance in subjects such as English, Modern Studies and Sociology! I ensure my lessons are light-hearted and productive, and provide a relaxed atmosphere to allow my students to become comfortable and confident in their own learning capabilities.
