Chess/English tutor providing lessons to children of all ages

I have been playing chess all my adult life. I have been Captain of Phones Chess Club team for over thirty years. I was trained by Chess in Schools and Communities in December 2017. I hosted a chess stall at six outdoor Gala Days or Family Fun Days this summer when masses of people had the opportunity to play chess with the equipment that was provided. I am able to offer study of chess puzzles, instruction whilst going through Grandmaster games, paying particular attention to the opening, middlegame and endgame stages.
I am experienced in public speaking, a good listener, my reading and writing skills were cemented with a Postgraduate Diploma in Alcohol and Drugs from University West of Scotland in 2010. I am able to offer English tutoring with particular knowledge of Adult Literacy and ESOL Tutoring, gained over twenty years of working with English Speakers, Asylum Seekers and Refugees with a variety of paid and voluntary organisations.
