Maths tutor teaches up to GCSE

Advert description
I am a master's by research student in Water, Energy and Environment at Cranfield University, United Kingdom currently awaiting the examiner's decision. I am expecting to start my PhD in September 2023 at University of Exeter, United Kingdom. Highly competent in and experienced in teaching Physics and Maths at GCSE and I earned A levels for both Maths and Physics (Science) at GCSE.

Tutoring Experience:
•Currently conducting individual tutoring sessions for GCSE physics (AQA) and mathematics (Edexcel).
•Former University Graduate Teaching Assistant in Physics.
-Tutoring undergraduates in Physics and Computer Science.
-Conducting practical sessions for undergraduates in Engineering Physics.
-Assessing of tutorials/reports of undergraduates.

Tutoring approach:
•Tailoring each tutorial session to match each student’s different level of abilities.
•Regular individual assessments and feedback for both student and parent.
•Practice past examination papers

Lesson structure (1 hour):
•10 minutes short quiz on previous session's content. Quiz questions are usually based on school textbook/past papers. While they are on the quiz, I mark the homework
•10-15 minutes for discussing homework/quiz questions.
•30-35 minutes revising the content solving example questions one by one. I usually start with a simple question and gradually go for more advanced ones. First, I ask the student to show how they would work out each question to get the understanding of the method/approach they use or follow at the school, also, where they struggle. So, that I could fit into their method and help them improve by working out more example/past paper questions with them.
•I give homework at the end of each lesson. Homework questions are usually based on school textbook/past paper questions.
