Advert description
Everything will be online, we will share documents and our screens, and I will present and make notes with my digital pen.
I will teach by discussing, having mini-reviews and going through different materials together with you. Hopefully we will not only discuss psychology, but also core concepts and functions of learning itself (and with that, how to improve our data storage and memory retention). Perhaps a joint exploration of these and other psychological phenomena in real time?
Presumably you have a course book, and a course plan with that. We will of course prioritise whatever info is provided in that plan while making sure we create realistic but effective schedules to finish up all responsibilities in time. I will say this a lot, but repetition and consistency is the key to having easy and stress free tests. And when it comes to writing the reports I will assist and guide (not co-create). Point being, we’re of course gonna aim for the highest possible grade.
My own biggest wish with the tutoring and coaching is that when we say our goodbyes, you will have the skills required to better and more effectively understand and learn anything in life. By making it a creative and satisfying process I hope studying overall becomes more enjoyable, too.
I’ve tutored students both in-person and online on a weekly basis since 2018 (with some breaks), the levels ranging from elementary to senior high school. I’ve always had a knack for teaching, but I’ve learned a ton sitting with those kids/teens, and gained a lot of experience hosting e-meetings. One thing I’ve learned is that almost everyone is lot more intelligent than they acknowledge, it’s all about effort and attention — helping someone discover their own “hidden” intelligence is always a beautiful sight. I’ve also mentored two psych. students from one level below me while in uni, got some heartwarming appreciation expressed and pride when I see them both killing it. Still friends with one of them and we’re sending each other psych. related stuff still :D
We can be friends, or not. Most importantly, these lessons are for YOU, so always join me in shaping them. Most feedback is good feedback, you can always express your ideas or concerns. No bad blood!
Best of luck with everything,
David G
