I help students to excel in Natural Sciences through tutoring, systematic assessment and performance tracking

I deliver private lessons in Natural Sciences, particularly biology and chemistry, fully tailored and customized to my students needs. I have particular experience with students who have ADHD and understand how they learn best. I am an experienced tutor with a degree in Biochemistry from The University of Edinburgh and a deep love for teaching.

I have found through my experience with students that there are two keys to high academic performance - love for the subject matter and systematic frequent practice. I help students to develop affinity and appreciation for sciences so studying is not something that they dread upon but actually look forward to. I use a systematic approach when it comes to practice, where we start with an assessment of students main knowledge gaps in the subject, followed by identifying the reasons for these gaps and then correcting them. I continuously monitor my students performance every week to make sure we are making progress where it matters through custom built weekly assessments. This has proved particularly effective in achieving desired grades on summative assessments.

I am able to tutor in person all around Edinburgh as well as remotely. As a fluent speaker of Russian and having a professional working proficiency in French, I can tutor students with these languages as their native one if they struggled with learning in English.
