I'm completely flexible in my teaching methods and focus on my student as an individual, tailoring their course to their learning style and pace, until they gain enough confidence and understanding of content to begin exam skills practice.

I believe education should not be a one way system of learn and recall, but a comfortable environment where a student can gain confidence in their learning style and can genuinely understand the material they are engaging with. Many students begin with a robotic fear-driven approach to science and maths. I deeply enjoy changing this into that "oh I get it!" feeling, until those subjects are loved not feared.

Teaching summary: grounded understanding of the topic as a whole and how it relates to real life. This helps the student care about the subject, have a deeper understanding rather than simple learn and recall, and increase curiosity and enjoyment--> build depth with detailed questioning and answers slowly through each topic using specific terms and formatting required by examiners --> test understanding and gain confidence--> exam and mark scheme techniques--> exams! (No stress, they'll feel like one of our practice papers!)

Fees: Online £35/hr GCSE and National 5 preparation
Online £25/hr any younger level for all subjects

I can do in person lessons in Edinburgh but I am rarely available for this and the fee is £40/hr GCSE and National 5, and £30/hr younger level.
