English Tutoring — Native Speaker and English Literature Student

I have a distinct passion for English and care deeply about learning. I understand English grammar, poetry, prose and colloquial language (as a native speaker). I really enjoy sharing my knowledge and the experience of learning with others and hope to make a positive impact on those interested in the subject. The teachers I have had are the reason I so adore this subject and I hope to provide my students with the same level of interest and enthusiasm as they have provided me with.

I am aware of the importance learning plays in our lives and the difficulties that come with it. I am currently completing my Scottish Advanced Highers. Next year I plan to study Classics and Literature at the University of Glasgow with classes in Theology and am ultimately interested in pursuing a career in academia as a professor or tutor. Having lived in several different countries over the course of my life and my interest in language and culture I am understanding of all backgrounds, including those with learning difficulties, queer individuals and people of colour.

I can provide flexible online lessons and am happy to accommodate to the needs of my students eg. Focusing on specific areas of interest, implementing various strategies for those with learning difficulties etc.

I believe that my experience and qualifications make me a good candidate for a tutoring role however I believe it is my passion for knowledge and understanding that makes me a great one.
