Experienced qualified primary school teacher. Experienced in preparing children for SATs and tutoring EAL learners

I am qualified primary school teacher (PGCE, QTS) with a MA in Education and Development. I have eight years experience in teaching in a range of schools in London. Currently, I am working in a British International school in Spain, where I am teaching the British National Curriculum (years 3,4 &5).

I have experience in tutoring children in Years 5 & 6, helping them to succeed in the SATS (maths and English).

Have taught Year 1, I am experienced in developing children's reading skills through synthetic phonics and I have experience in following a range of schemes.

As a teacher in Spain, I am experienced in supporting children who speak English as an additonal langauge. I use a range of strategies such as 'Talk4writing', picture cues and games to develop confidence in speaking and writing in English. Recently, I have tutored a 15 year old girl in supporting her through her B1 English exam.

My philosophy is to make learning fun to ensure that children are engaged and keen to learn.

I have a full police clearance and recent DBS certificates.
