Teacher of English as a Foreign Languague

I have a Batchelor of Education degree and I have been teaching for thirty years both in the UK and in the Middle East. I enjoy building a rapport with my students whilst seeing their listening, writing and spoken English progress to fluent using concepts that interest them and developing areas that are relevant to daily living. My lessons are fun, active and engaging whilst also being tailored to individual needs.

I specifically try to make the English language 'come to life' through real life situations and role play. In addition I use games and quizzes to keep lessons varied and fun alongside more formal traditional exercises As a teacher I use videos and pre-prepared materials, along with a variety of audiovisual aids, with a view to encouraging my students to communicate with each other using the structures and vocabulary they've learnt to improve the four basic language skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing.
