Accounting and Finance student teaching GCSE and A-level Maths!

Hello all, my name is Amaan Ali. A bit about myself, I am an accounting and finance student who has been tutoring GCSE Maths for 2 years now. I achieved a Grade (7) in Maths at GCSE and achieved an A-level in Maths. As your tutor, I will ensure your student will be introduced to those topics that they may struggle or not enjoy through humorous and engaging activities.

What would a lesson consist of:
During the lesson, I would always start with the learning outcomes introducing the tutoring lesson for the day. Before the lesson, I would create all resources from scratch so that they are up to date with the current syllabus your child is studying at school. During the lesson, I would go through the content by going through step by step explanations as well as engaging the student by asking them questions during this. This way, the student would be actively engaging in the content and any uncertainty we can fix during this. As a funny character myself, I would ensure your student is not easily disengaged and bored by introducing activities such as personalised exam questions that fit the syllabus so that those topics your student may find dull would be more interesting when we get to the harder parts of the content.

During my 2 years I have faced numerous students initially achieving a grade 2 and propelling them to a grade 6 and higher. As a student myself who’s studied the syllabus just recently, I can understand the frustrations of any content students may have. One main reason why I am a perfect fit as a tutor is my unique teaching activities such as personalised exam questions.

My hourly rate:
As we approach 2024, I understand families may struggle to pay for their child’s education. As such my hourly rate is flexible. Initially my rate is £20 but the first lesson is £15 so you can grasp whether I am a perfect fit for your student. As well as this, longer-term students would have their rate reduced to £15.
