I would start the lesson by introducing and welcoming everyone to the lesson. As this occurs, I would allow them for 5 minutes to prepare for the lesson with a mini activity on the screen. This way, it can engage the students early on and enhance their thinking from the moment they arrive.

I would introduce humour and this is one of my best techniques. I would engage students by occasionally joking with them about certain topics within English to ensure they enjoy the subject.

Towards the end of the lesson, I would finish with an exam question or a review of the lesson to show the level of understanding that they have obtained from my lesson.

At the end of the lesson, I may set homework for them to complete. I prefer not to set any large piece of homework as I believe this can exhaust the students and cause the, to lose concentration from the subject. Some days I may decided to set a fun piece of work and engage them with an activity about the lesson they have learnt and other days it may be some questions on the lesson. Either way, it would take a maximum of 30 minutes unless it is GCSE where an exam question may be published

For the next lesson, I would briefly go through the homework and answer any questions about it.

Overall, throughout my tutoring experience I have found that students are more engaged when they’re enjoying the subject (Fun activities).

Really helped with my maths grade. Was struggling to understand the content but he explained it so easily and made math look so fun! Very positive and used interactive methods such as games to help understand what was happening, Recommend him to anyone looking to boost their grades and enjoy math!

Really fun and engaging and helped me boost my grades ! Made it easy to understand and at times went above and beyond by extending the lesson free of charge to help me grasp the content. Made exam questions look fun.
