My name is Paulina Moya-Santiagos, I am in my third year as a PhD student in Applied Linguistics at the University College London, Institute of Education. I have around 15 years of experience teaching English at educational institutions (face-to-face and online through different platforms) both in Chile and in the United Kingdom in public schools and universities.
I am also a graduate of the University College London, Institute of Education having completed a master’s in TESOL in 2016, for which I received a distinction. I have extensive experience designing classroom materials in both Spanish and English, and teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, particularly as a teacher educator and mentor for future teachers.
Regarding my teaching and academic practice, I have taught English and Spanish in multiple educational contexts both in Chile and the UK. In Chile, I was a public schoolteacher for thirteen years and a university lecturer for almost fourteen years. On the other hand, I was recently appointed as a Postgraduate Teaching Assistant for the Culture, Communication and Media Department at the Institute of Education, University College London and as a Spanish Tutor at the University of Warwick for the Hispanic Studies Department.
