I have taught in multiple educational contexts both in Chile and the UK. In Chile, I was a public schoolteacher for thirteen years and a university lecturer for almost fourteen years. I believe that one of my strengths is to have both the school and university perspectives on education to teach students from different social and cultural backgrounds. Additionally, I am an associate postgraduate lecturer at the Andres Bello University in Chile where I lead the Methodology and Creativity II module for the MA in Teaching English as a Foreign Language. As for my academic experience in the UK, I was recently appointed as a Postgraduate Teaching Assistant for the Culture, Communication and Media Department at the Institute of Education, University College London and as a Spanish Tutor at the University of Warwick for the Hispanic Studies Department. Moreover, for the past two years, I have been trained in the use of Moodle, Teams, Educandus and Blackboard, amongst others, to effectively teach virtually due to the pandemic situation. I work with MS Office software for professional and personal purposes.
In my classes, you can expect attention to detail and I will make sure you learn in interactive ways. I will also provide you with clear feedback and I will do my best to boost your metacognitive skills and your critical thinking. Finally, I am a friendly and sociable person so you will feel supported throughout your learning process.
