Advert description
I have a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, a master’s degree in Developmental Psychopathology, and tutoring experience in psychological research methods, test theory, and statistics. I think the most important thing in tutoring is to pass on excitement and enjoyment of the subject. Many people find psychology intimidating and it can get very technical, but I think, these can be the most exciting bits of psychology! Anything that seems complicated, we can break down together and dig deep into any area you'd like to improve your understanding of.
I have worked in psychological research both in my internships and for my dissertations and can give a more in-depth understanding of why things you learn about in theory are relevant, and how these are applied. My core strengths are methods in psychology, developmental psychology, and neuropsychology (such as brain anatomy and biological mechanisms in psychology) but I am very happy to help with anything else as well.
I studied in two countries and tutored students of all ages. This means I can help with various assessment or exam formats you might have to prepare for. Having been a student for a long time, I can help you work on techniques to study and deal with exams or coursework so that you can develop your learning skills beyond our tutoring.
I'm looking forward to hearing from you :)
(I can currently only offer remote tutoring, as I am about to move, but have made great experiences tutoring online. This will also give you more flexibility to schedule lessons.)
