Advert description
I am a dedicated, multi-skilled undergraduate student from Cyprus, studying Politics Philosophy and Economics at the University College London. I have been working as a tutor of Mathematics, English or Greek for children aged 6-16. I help them overcome their phobias while thriving and achieving their desired grades! Studying a degree that combines theoretical thinking and extensive qualitative analysis, together with practical thinking and quantitative research methods makes me capable to individualise teaching techniques according to the subject and the student’s needs.
I am passionate in teaching children of every gender, race, religion or intellectual level. I worked as a Mathematics, English and Greek tutor with Mentor Jr for 2 years. In addition to that, I daily help my 3 younger sisters aged 6-16, in school homework and preparation for tests and exams.
I value teaching methods and ways to organise the though- methodology of each student, which is paramount to begin with for all subjects.
I can an effectively identify the strengths and weaknesses of the individual student, supporting their weak points and helping them to build their capacity to study properly by having a clearer understanding of concepts.
I am able to engage the students in a productive learning environment, were they can concentrate and focus sufficiently in order to unravel their full academic potential.
I use structured lesson plans in order to cover all topics. At the same time, I promote innovative thinking and creativity as key ingredients to academic success to let the lesson flow accordingly within the time frame.
