Art lessons for children up to 12 (practice and theory)

I am a final year Fine Art student in London and would love to work with children. I believe it is never too early to start learning about the history and understanding the wider context of art. I do not want to be boring, and would try to make the lessons engaging and fun.
The best kind of lesson would probably be a mix of history and practice, drawing, making collages, getting familiar with different materials and at the same time, talking about who started using them, why they are important and going through the whole history of art slowly.
