I have experience in the art schools and within many mediums (charcoal, pencils, pastels and oil pastels, watercolour, gouache, acrylic and oil paint, ceramics, modelling clay) and want to share the joy that they give me.

I have seen different ways of teaching and believe that the main goal is to get children interested, grab their attention and make them understand a practical and theoretical side of the subject.

Listening and talking about different periods of art history while creating is I believe the most engaging way to learn.
The length of the lesson depends on you, I can do 45minutes, an hour, hour and a half.

Structure example:
Lesson 1 - drawing with charcoal or making natural dies and talking about cave paintings.
Lesson 2 - painting on pots, talking about ancient Greece.
Lesson 5 - making collages, talking about surrealism.
Lesson 7 - reused paper, talking about ecology and natural art.

While working in a special needs high school as an art teaching assistant, I have seen how different every person is, and how different they respond to methods of teaching. I believe finding a method that works for your child specifically is the way to go, so first, I would love to get to know them. At the same time, there is no end in learning in art, so we would have to go through the basics and then see how deep we can dive.
