I am an experienced KS3 Science and GCSE Physics teacher and can help you succeed

Advert description
I started teaching in 2002 and have specialised in Science and Physics. Additionally I have a lot of experience and success in teaching those students for whom learning is a struggle. I hold the Associate Membership of the British Dyslexia Association and can assess students for Dyslexia. I have been a Special Needs Coordinator but really enjoy teaching more than coordinating.

Physics doesn't need to be scary. All you need is an encouraging and enthusiastic tutor. A lot of physics is really just a lot of fact-learning. Trouble is t of these facts have a mathematical basis and this is what often leads students to believe that they can't do it. I will break the maths down to the basics and then build it back up keeping you in the knowledge loop at all times. I will explain a point as many times or in as many different ways until you have cracked it. We will then practice it using GCSE questions.

I will help you prepare for your examinations with a comprehensive revision programme that will ensure you are ready for your GCSE exam - you will have the knowledge you need and the confidence to know that you can succeed in the exam.

I have experience in teaching students at both ends of the ability spectrum and all points in between. I believe that stopping a student falling off the bottom of the ladder is as important as helping a student achieve an A* or a 9 at GCSE. I enjoy working with students with dyslexia and successfully guided several to grades much higher than they were expecting. It just takes patience and enthusiasm on my part and a willingness to engage and trust me on the part of the student.
