Experienced English tutor offering dynmic classes in reading, writing and speaking

Hello!

My name is Gavin Muir, I am an English tutor currently living in Canada; although I was born and raised in Scotland.

I have a range of experiences in teaching English to people from many backgrounds and abilities. I used to volunteer, helping students with learning disabilities improve their reading skills. I taught debating and public speaking skills to high school students for five years. In 2022 I gained my CELTA with merit, qualifying me to teach English as a foreign language.

I believe that lessons should be adapted to the needs and interests of the student. An initial meeting, free of charge, with the student and or parents to discuss what you want out of these sessions will be offered. This will allow me to design specific lesson plans tailored to your needs and incorporate some of the student's interests in them.
