GCSE or A-Level Sciences (Bio/Chem) Tutoring!

Advert description
I provide online 1-1 tuition for:
GCSE - Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Maths
AS/A-Level - Chemistry, Biology and Maths

Having 4 years of tutoring experience, I am confident in my ability to teach a range of subjects, especially natural/life sciences such as Biology.
I am a 4th year Student Doctor at the University of Cambridge. In June 2024, I received my bachelor's degree (BA Hons, Cantab) in Biological & Biomedical Science. Following completion of my clinical medical studies in 2027, I am to enter the foundation training programme to start my career as a doctor.

Tutoring for the past 4 years has enabled me to fuel my passion for teaching and supporting others in reaching their goals. I have taught students of all abilities in GCSE and A-Level science subjects - particularly Biology and Chemistry.
With flexible, student-led and motivating support, I am happy to say that my students have reached the aims they set out to achieve. My students have gone on to secure their desired grades and/or progressed to the next stage of their career aspirations, i.e. accepting highly competitive university offers.

Delivering lessons online (or in person on request), I am happy to work with students for any timeframe, without the requirement for commitment, whether for a term, in the run up to exams, or for the academic year.

My teaching style is very adaptable and flexible. I like to encourage collaboration on diagrams or written answers where possible using an online whiteboard. Powerpoints and diagrams are used to assist explanations. But, I do endeavour to shape my teaching methods around every individual student's needs and strengths, so I am open to other methods!

My teaching includes the provision of in-lesson guided practice, as well as exam-style questions, which get marked with feedback prior to the next lesson. I may also produce or supply mock exams where requested.

Additionally, I offer support with Oxbridge (science subject) applications and Medicine (A100) applications. This may involve subject specific guidance, entrance exam preparation and interview practice. Students I have guided through the interview process for medicine, including mock interviews, have gone on to receive offers from fantastic UK medical schools, including the University of Exeter and University College London (UCL).

It was a great experience learning from Abbie as she had shown great enthusiasm and was very passionate about teaching. She went beyond her extent and taught me lots of new things! More than that, she is very amicable and lovable!
