A level Economics tutor - 15 years of teaching experience - OCR Macro examiner

With 15 years of teaching experience working in a combination of Ofsted rated outstanding state schools and 6 years working at Times South West Independent school of the year.

My experience as an examiner has reinforced the need to focus on exam technique. As a result I pride myself on my concise and practical feedback when marking; this allows students to implement small differences in the structures of their responses to make significant differences in their grades.

Over the course of my career in education, I have taught a wide range of subjects, introduced & coordinated new courses, mentored ECT’S, been an examiner, held management positions of Exams Officer and Head of Sixth Form.

I aim to keep my teaching fresh & engaging by using modern day examples which can practically illustrate key concepts & help students be globally aware of economic situations.
