Biology Tutor Providing Lessons for Year 7 - GCSE

I am currently at university studying to become a midwife. I have always loved Biology, having got an 8 in my GCSE, and a B at ALevel. I began a degree in Bioengineering before discovering my love for midwifery and all that it entails. I am a qualified swimming teacher and coach and have been teaching and coaching children of all ages (3-16) for 3 years now, as well as volunteering as a Young Leader at my local Brownie group for the last 5.
When teaching, I always focus on the ‘Why?’. A lot of the time exam specifications want students to ‘just know’ things without an explanation as to why, I’ve found that understanding why something happens helps to understand and learn the process, which in turn allows students to answer questions correctly.
