Advert description
I was drawn to yoga to seek respite and heal my body after suffering health issues as a young adult. My love for the practice and passion for health and wellbeing soon became the forefront of my work and studies.
I hold an MA in Yoga and Meditation Traditions from SOAS, University of London. My academic work explores the evolution of yoga asana, and the role of spirituality in illness, health and healing. My passion lies in the body, in its movement, its relationship to nature, to health, illness, and healing.
As a dedicated practitioner for over 15 years, my teaching style encompasses my love for both dynamic movement and deep rest, understanding the importance of balance and equilibrium for a healthy body and mind.
I have studied an extensive variety of yoga styles, including Maha Hatha, Yin, Restorative, Pregnancy & Postnatal yoga, Kriya/Kundalini, Hot Yoga, Astanga, and Yoga Nidra. I also study and teach Buddhist meditation and mindfulness practices.
Classes are tailored to your needs and experience, whether you are looking for an introduction to yoga postures and techniques, developing your practice through further understanding of the yogic body, or working with an injury or illness.
My classes have often been described as "chilled but challenging," leaving you relaxed but energised. You'll be supported in progressing in your physical practice and finding alignment in your body, mind, and spirit. At the end of each class, you will leave with a few new tools to add to your yoga repertoire and concepts to contemplate.
My years of teaching experience allow me to adjust the yogic teachings for students of any level within a friendly and supportive environment.
