Advert description
I am a Spanish, and French qualified teacher who has just finished working at an independent boarding school in Derbyshire as a Spanish (Spanish Lead) and French teacher. I graduated in July 2017 from the University of Nottingham, with a Second-class honours’ degree; Upper division (2:1) in French and Spanish (BA Hons). As soon as I graduated, I began to work as a language teacher and trained on the job. I had to adapt quickly to this new environment which was exciting but initially quite difficult. Due to the nature of completing the PGCE whilst teaching, it taught me how to adapt rapidly to new situations.
In my role as the Spanish lead for key stages 3 and 4, I have designed and implemented an innovative curriculum that promotes language acquisition through interactive and communicative techniques. My experience in independent boarding schools has provided me with the opportunity to work within a challenging yet rewarding environment, where I have successfully prepared students for GCSE and A-Level examinations while fostering a love for the languages. I am adept at using technology and multimedia resources to enhance the learning experience, helping students to gain confidence and proficiency in both oral and written communication.
