Advert description
I graduated in June 2022 with my Masters degree at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, in Professor Thomas Martin's class. I received my Bachelors degree at the Liszt Academy of Music in 2017. After graduating, I stayed in Birmingham, and currently freelancing with orchestras such as the Oxford Philharmonic Orchestra and the Royal Scottish National Orchestra. I also got invited to teach at the Leeds Conservatoire, where I am currently the classical double bass teacher and lecturer.
I was awarded first prize at the Lajos Montag National Double bass competition and won the prize for the best performance of the obligatory piece in 2017. I also got first prize in Slovakia, at the Dittersdorf International Double Bass Competition in 2019. I was invited to participate at the International Giovanni Bottesini Competition this summer in Crema. In 2020, I won a place at the Metropolitan Opera House Orchestra's musicians masterclass, which was held online. I was the double bassist of the Divertimento Chamber Orchestra for 3 years.
I believe being positive, and optimistic when teaching is a big key to my students' success. I am very flexible about what to teach, but before any lesson I always like to consider what my students wants to achieve on playing the double bass. If it is about stepping a level up in their technical skills, then I bring more Etudes, and pieces that are both enjoyable but helping them work on their skills. I also have a built up lesson plan for those who just want to start learning the bass.
