Maths tutor with 4 years of experience in online tutoring for Maths GCSE students

I like to have a structured style of teaching Mathematics, although without letting the structure domain the lesson. This is for GCSE or KS3 lessons. I have a learning objective to start with and am always open to developing it at different levels. Whether the student achieves more or less from that objective, there are two clear conclusions: that this is a job both for the teacher and the student and that every step ahead of progress is worthy, no matter how small the step is. I like to explain the topic and pass to modelled examples so that the student knows what I am talking about so that later he can do other examples, first with my help and then by himself. The questions that I use to guide the student into the complete understanding of the topic are made in order to let the student advance step by step into the complete understanding without room for misinterpretations. In the end, there is always a moment of review and make sure that the objective (at least in its basic form) has been achieved.
