Highly effective online teaching of mathematics

I am a chartered mathematician and an experienced Mathematics teacher and adviser with 25 years’ experience teaching and tutoring and I have an enhanced DBS. I have a Mathematics degree and a PGCE in mathematics education from Bristol University and a Masters degree from Bristol University. I am also a mathematics subject expert for The Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual) which regulates examinations and assessments in England.
I have taught across the full secondary age and ability range, including A Level mathematics. I have worked with students using each of the main awarding organisations. I have a deep understanding of the pedagogy of teaching mathematics and how to support and challenge students at all levels to achieve their best, and can challenge students aiming for the highest grades.
I understand how to structure sessions to gain the best out of my students. I have the experience and knowledge to identify the specific topics that students find challenging. I then target these areas to develop deep sustainable understanding, building on what students can already do. I am an experienced online tutor using different platforms and can adapt how I present these sessions to suit the needs and learning styles of different students. I can access a wide range of resources to support highly effective online teaching of mathematics.
