English Language tutor with 2 years experience. Lessons are aimed at years 7-11 students aiming for high grades in their GCSES

I have 2 years experience tutoring, based in Birmingham, achieving a grade equivalent to an A in my English Language GCSE in 2022. I have just finished my A-levels and was top of my class, achieving grade As consistently throughout years 12 and 13. I create individual plans for my students according to their needs and tutor in person usually, but I would like to venture back into online tutoring, which was initially how I started out.

I like to challenge my students and push them to achieve their potential, with my current students showing great improvements from the start of their academic year to now, with both students going from grades 4/5 to grades 6/7 in just under 9 months.

I work on improving SPAG, the analysis of poems and extracts, and writing skills (for example writing stories and articles- where the most marks are awarded in GCSE examinations).
