English Tutor with over ten years' experience of teaching children, teenagers and adults

I have a Bachelor of Arts degree from Oxford University and a teaching qualification to teach in secondary schools. I have taught in secondary and primary schools.

I have over 10 years' experience of tutoring English on a one to one basis. My students have ranged from those learning to read and write, through to A' level English students and adult learners. Past students have included those for whom English is a second language. I am happy to teach both spoken and written English.

My lessons are interesting and fun. I like to tailor the lesson content to your personal needs and interests. For example, when I was teaching a student who had to pass an English exam to become a professional golfer, we used relevant learning materials such as newspaper reports on golfers and golf tournaments. This helped him to keep up his focus and motivation.

I listen to what you need from your lessons and appreciate your comments about what is or is not helpful to you. I will also always give you lots of encouragement and useful feedback to help you progress with your English.
