English as a foreign language (EFL/ESOL) tutor with 20 years' experience!

Hello! I am a diploma qualified English language teacher who has 20 years' experience of teaching EFL/ESOL both in the classroom and online. I have been teaching business executives and also exam preparation classes online for the last 3 years. I think I'm kind, caring, and good at my job! I love language but most importantly I love meeting new people and helping them achieve their goals and grow in confidence. I am professional and well organised.

My lessons are focused on speaking and language acquisition, normally I begin with a speaking or vocabulary activity then we look at a language point together. We do a balance of things - I work on your skills such as fluency, listening etc but also have an emphasis on new vocabulary and grammar. By the end of the lesson I want you to feel the language we've learnt is yours and you can use it to express yourself. We check on your progress as our lessons continue and I make sure there is good continuity and variety with what I teach.
