Hi, I'm Elaine.
I have a BSc(Hons) in Statistics from the University of Glasgow, and I have around 15 years' experience working with children and young people in various capacities.
My experience is largely in Youth Work, although I have tutored children and young people with various different abilities or conditions, and have also tutored adults looking to refresh their skills.
Most recently, I have worked with 16-19 year-olds towards attaining their GCSE or equivalent, a significant portion of whom had additional needs. I have also worked with children who have SEN, in a supportive capacity within school.
My approach is absolutely person-centered, and I aim to establish a clear understanding of the course material on a fundamental level, while also developing problem-solving skills so that my learners gain confidence as well as knowledge.
