Advert description
I have learnt Chinese for the whole school life, around 20 years.
I speak Mandarin and Cantonese both very well. I can also read some of the Classical Chinese poetry or articles, for example: The Lantern Festival Night from Xin Qiji, and the Pre-Battle Memorandum to His Majesty from Zhuge Liang.
In my Chinese lessons, I teach Mandarin with a focus on building a strong foundation in speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Lessons are designed to be interactive and engaging, incorporating real-life situations, cultural insights, and practical vocabulary. Whether you're a beginner or looking to improve your skills, you'll experience a dynamic mix of conversation practice, grammar drills, and fun cultural activities. My goal is to make learning Chinese both enjoyable and effective, helping you confidently communicate and understand this rich, fascinating language.
Moreover, there will be advanced Chinese poetry learning sessions designed to deepen participants' understanding of classical and contemporary works. These sessions will cover a variety of themes, such as nature, philosophy, love, and societal reflections, which are central to Chinese poetic tradition. Participants will explore the works of renowned poets like Li Bai, Du Fu, and Wang Wei, analyzing their unique styles, cultural contexts, and linguistic nuances.
So this will be the lessons to teach from beginner to advanced levels. Not only can you learn how to communicate with people who talk in Mandarin or read most of the Chinese-written articles, but also delve into the rich cultural heritage and artistic depth of the Chinese language through its poetry and literature.
