During lessons I prefer to encourage students to actively participate. I usually go through an example question to explain the important concepts in the topic. Along the way I check with the student to see if they’re ok with the content. During this stage they have to opportunity to any ask questions to cement their understanding. Then I would give the student a question to try and attempt themselves. Once they’re done we would work through any mistakes or errors, and afterwards progressively move onto more difficult questions until the student is fully confident with the topic at hand.
