I would prefer to have a more interactive lesson where the student takes part more because I think it helps them learn better and helps in the long run too. I will cover the parts of the course the students struggle with the most, to help them feel more confident in their work. Overcoming the harder questions first is always better because then you don’t have to worry about them later on. Leaving them till the end always makes matters worse. I think it will be better to do this because of my own personal experiences. I have always learnt better in an interactive lesson because in a normal lesson I tend to start day dreaming, so being interactive helps keep students interest and helps them to learn more. Also, during my time studying I had always kept the harder topics to the end which I realised wasn’t helping me at all, so I changed the way I worked and started reviewing and practicing the harder topics, which helped me achieve the end grades. At the start of the lesson I will go through the basic concepts of the topic so I know that you are aware, then I will get some topic questions up to get you warmed up and then once I know you can do the questions properly I will move on to exam style questions, to ensure you know the way the questions from that topic will come up. Exam questions also help get the student ready for exams and makes you more prepared.
