Our first meeting will always be about understanding any prior experience, where you want to get to with guitar, and how you want to get there. I can help anyone from beginner to advanced players. Ideally, you have your own instrument, but if you don't we can have a couple of tasters with one of mine.
Our lessons will be informal, but we will work hard! I can teach you either by using sheet music, tablature, or just our ears. I am also available to teach online, at my home, or at your home if you live in London.
After the first lesson, I will structure the first block tailored towards your needs and aspirations. If it's exams you want to take and pass, or just play your favourite songs, or indeed refine your technique, we can work together.
At the end of the day, I will tailor the lessons to each individual pupil, so you can get the best out of your learning experience. Engaging your love for music, and passion for creativity is what I believe in - and this is what yields the best results. Playing the guitar, or indeed any musical endeavour, can be daunting (I remember starting out!)
Repertoire
I believe in the student choosing their repertoire, as this makes the experience a 1000 times more enjoyable for you, but if you're at a loss where to start, we can work together to get to the right place. We will talk about this in the first lesson.

Musicology and music history
At university I focussed on musicology and composition, and can help anyone with their GCSE, A-level, or music theory exams and coursework, as well as any university students looking to specialise in this.
I'm half English and half Portuguese, and speak both languages natively, and can speak pretty good Spanish, and ok French, so I do welcome non native English speakers, as I'm used to getting my point across when there's a language barrier.
