My lessons are based on a range of topics (culture, society, arts, etc.) which will encourage you to use your target language in a conversation and break the intimidating language barrier. I try to assign topics which align with the student's personal interests so we can get the most out of the session. Additionally, there will be a vocabulary exercise which will help you memorise words which are particularly useful, especially for talking to native speakers or GCSE/A-Level exams. We will finish the lesson with a grammar exercise. Don't worry, it won't be too heavy! Overall, I try to create a balance between all the elements necessary to improve in language learning: speaking, listening, reading and writing.
The lessons typically take place on Zoom, Skype, or Google Hangouts, although I am flexible and can adapt to your platform of choice. Each material used in the sessions is prepared by me and will be shared with you so you can revise the things we cover at your own pace. I will also be available to answer any questions and doubts you might have along the way.
I think that a relaxed environment is essential in order to motivate my students to do the best they can and show them that learning foreign languages doesn't have to be as intimidating as it seems! Most of the people I've taught have been long-term students and I've thoroughly enjoyed seeing their improvement over the months or even years of our sessions together. I always strive for this kind of collaboration as it brings the best results!
