I taught at a university level for 5 years before moving to the UK to do a MA in Medieval Studies. I have taught Ethics, Political Science, Medieval Philosophy, Philosophy, Sociology and History of Art, and that has broadened my boundaries of expertise and knowledge. My main methodology is a dialectic one, where at first a common ground is set, and from there we can open up to an exploratory experience based on questions and inquiries. For doing so, I offer a selected short bibliography to read beforehand that will let us use the time shared in the most productive way. My aim is to create a dual behaviour: on one hand nurture critical thinking, which is crucial in the Humanities to understand what is being said. On the other, stimulate a work ethic that will allow the student to perform better with less time spent studying. Both of these elements are transferable skills that can be used in any environment and had proved in my own experience (I'm currently working in the software industry) to be key in a world-changing job market.
Hope to join you in your voyage toward learning and discovery. Together, we can make the necessary and compulsory, enjoyable and worthwhile.
