My lessons are bespoke, meaning I create a curriculum based off of your goals.

In our first lesson, we talk about some of your goals and motivations to learning the instrument. We also will go through some light exercises to get an idea of your experience. At the end of this lesson, we will have discussed a strategy to achieving your goals, and I will assign you with some basic exercises. After every lesson, I always provide notes via Google Drive.

In subsequent lessons, we start by reviewing the exercises I assigned in the previous lesson. Depending on how you're feeling and what you want to focus on will decide the pathway of each lesson.

In my experience, it helps to break up lessons into five lesson partitions. This way, we can keep track of our goals and see where we need to focus, and also take a moment to reflect on the progress you've made and also decide if there are new things we want to look at.

I have also found lessons can offer compound benefits. For example, through studying just one piece of music, we can explore many ideas including; how to play chords, how to strum along/ rhythm, how to enhance the song through accompaniment, improvisation. We can also study different levels of music theory, all the way up to songwriting.

Ultimately lessons are fun and exciting and I take great delight in being able to not only show my students new ideas, but also show them how they can master, these new ideas themselves and achieve their learning goals!

As a singer songwriter, I have a broad experience also in engineering, mixing mastering and music business, which I am happy to draw upon as in when needed.
