I have a pass grade in English language and literature both in GCSE and A-level. I have also worked with secondary school students before as part of community service at A-level. At GCSE, I received the German Prize for the highest mark in my class.
My role as prefect in upper sixth helped me improve my understanding of responsibility and looking out for the younger students in the school. Hence I am experienced in mentoring and my leadership skills come from my experience as a PASS leader. I am also a great listener and sociable.
I have informal experience of teaching and helping people learn and improve their English language through a language exchange social media app and it's always a pleasure to correct their mistakes to help improve. Since the platform is used for language exchange, I also am able to practice languages I learn.
I have basic knowledge of French, German and Arabic and am able to communicate basic sentences.
Classes will be made fun and interactive and will be taken online so that they are accessible from anywhere for whoever wants to learn English.
I am patient with kids and I hope to teach students English in a way that will be able to learn and eventually communicate basic sentences with other people.
The resources used will all be online including teaching the English alphabet and phonics. Children will be able to openly communicate and I will not hesitate to repeat or assist if they struggle to get something correct.
