As well as a BSC in Psychology, I also hold a secondary PGCE with post 16 enhancement and QTS (qualified teacher status). I have taught both in the 11-18 educational provision and adult education. It is my aim in whatever setting I am in, to make learning interesting yet challenging. I am a flexible and adaptable, patient teacher who will be creative about finding ways to help you understand different concepts and encourage you to think critically about the subject at hand. I love psychology and am passionate about why/how people do what they do and I look forward to being able to share this with you as you learn.
I also teach English as a second language and understand the benefits of being able to speak, read and write it in social, educational and business contexts. Again, I am creative in my delivery of this subject and look very much to meet the needs of my students, be it wanting to learn how to go to a cafe or to the doctors, or how to pass an English exam.
Outside of tutoring, I have an active interest in Philosophy (constantly learning more) and mindfulness as well as being a keen crafter. I crochet, paint, do macrame and make felt animals. I love meeting up regularly with my family and friends and enjoy getting out in the fresh air.
