As a fully trained counsellor and psychologist (with a first class degree in Experimental Psychology from Oxford University), I have worked in the busy and exciting world of recruitment for over 17 years. I have extensive experience of helping students and graduates (BSc, MSc and PhD) to look at different career options, develop their CVs and prepare for interviews. I have a strong understanding of Business Management, English and Maths, which have helped me to build a successful international life science recruitment company called Next Phase Recruitment. My methods are always personalised to the individuals I am working with, so I will look forward to meeting you online, getting to know your skill levels in different areas and coaching you in whichever way is most helpful to you. I am an empathetic listener who enjoys meeting new people, identifying their strengths and helping them to understand and work with their weaknesses. Alongside my availability as a tutor, I run my own business called Purpose Mentoring (an online service to help people who are struggling to balance pressurised jobs with challenges at home. I also have two teenage children of my own, and have volunteered in several secondary schools to help coach students through preparing for their first job interviews. My earliest teaching experience was in 2002, when I taught a class of 60 children in a school in Uganda - what an amazing adventure that was!
