The subject of History has fascinated me from an early age. It was my favourite subject in school and I recently graduated from College in University College Cork with a Bachelor's Degree in History and Politics after three years of study, While I do not have any experience in the field of teaching, I do have experience through my occupation as a Scout Leader with working with children. For this position, I should add that I have been Garda vetted to work in such a position. While I will require information as to the specific era or events that students wish to gain information on, my classes will consist of a detailed but tailored lesson concerning the field of history that students wish to learn about. Due to my location in Ireland, my classes can only be taken online but that means that I have a greater degree of freedom in class times and scheduling when it comes to other, in-person tutors. My lessons would be in an interactive lecture format. The student would be able to participate and should any questions arise, I would be more than happy to answer and clear up any misunderstandings. While I have worked primarily with children aged six to eight, I feel as though I would be able to work with children and teenagers of a higher age from 9 to 18.
