My lessons consist of Powerpoint presentations with summary information that can be easily understood and recalled. Interactive activities enabling and requiring input and attention from all members of the audience to facilitate learning, understanding and information distribution. Using examples from real life situations where possible to improve understanding and retention of material.

I have enjoyed a varied and interesting career so far, working on a self-employed basis to further my experience and professional expertise in a range of different positions. I have provided private consultancy, therapeutic intervention, and counselling on a referral basis for children, young people and adults with varied levels of cognitive needs and mental health difficulties. I have worked in a therapeutic role as a mental health practitioner at HMP IOW as well as in mainstream education settings and private practice. I am a friendly, knowledgeable and popular practitioner with excellent working relationships, individual ability and team skills. In addition to my research Doctorate, I have clinical experience in education both as a psychologist and as a teacher.

Therefore I am able to manage the majority of situations, tailoring my presentation and lessons to individuals needs and requirements to ensure that the information and learning is as accessible to all as possible. Having been in the education system so long, both as learner and teacher, I feel I have a good understanding of what makes lessons, tutors, and so on interesting and engaging. I strive to help students and companies alike to get the most of my lessons.
