I am a dynamic and pedagogical teacher, who adapts lessons to the students I have in front of me.
I have had years of experience in teaching languages. I started as tutoring when I was doing my masters in France and provided in-person support to help a student in year 8. After my masters, I was hired by the Royal Grammar School, Guildford, as a language assistant to help A level students improve their oral skills in light of their exams. During that year, I tutored a year-13 student who needed help with the book and the literary component of the exam. This implied mindmapping chapters of the book and writing essays to improve analysis and language. After completing my PGCE Secondary at the University of Cambridge, I started working as a teacher of languages and am now completing my third year. This year, I spent two terms tutoring a year-13 French student to help him improve his grammar and practice to obtain an A in his a level exam. The kind of tasks I did there were mainly focused on improving language skills to be able to earn the highest grades / translations, teacher resources and handouts, grammar etc. We also worked on practicing the speaking exam and anticipating questions / improving pronunciation.
Most of my lessons have been in person but I have a wide range of resources I use as a professional teacher which can be catered to individuals' needs and levels.
