Sofia Isaacs

I am an inspired first-class graduate with a passion for modern history. I achieved a First at the University of Leeds in International History and Politics (BA). At A-Level, I achieved A*AA in English Literature, History and Politics. I offer tutoring in these subjects up to A-level standard. I only teach the subjects that I am most passionate about and hope to inspire this passion among my students. My lessons are tailored to the course each student is completing. Within the hourly rate, I will put time aside to refamiliarise myself with the content you may be struggling with. I am very direct and to the point; I am mark-scheme focussed so that you can achieve the best results for your ability in your exams. I am comfortable working with students of all ages. I am a very flexible person, flexible with timings and with my teaching methods to best accommodate your needs. My passion for these subjects extends beyond academia for me. I am quick to suggest useful documentaries and other ways of learning that inspire the most interest from my students. I believe with interest comes motivation, and with that comes success. It is vital to me that my students feel engaged during my sessions, leaving them wanting to know more about the topic. I also stress the importance of exam technique and make sure my students are aware of what their exam board is looking for so that they can write their essays and answers accordingly.
