Shuo Xu

My lessons are relaxed, friendly, and focused on helping you feel confident using Chinese in real life. I like to keep things practical — we can talk, listen to short stories, learn useful words and phrases, or explore Chinese culture depending on what you’re interested in.

I’m not a professional teacher, but I love languages and helping others learn. I’m currently a PhD student at UCL and also volunteer at a UK secondary school, supporting Year 10 students with Maths. That experience taught me how to be patient, encouraging, and explain things in a simple way.

Whether you’re a complete beginner or want to improve your speaking, I’ll do my best to support you with kindness and care.
