I am an NCEF qualified personal trainer through my bachelors studies at University of Limerick. I am currently on an exchange semester studying Sports and Exercise Science at Liverpool John Moores University.I have experience from teaching fitness classes daily for 3 months at a summer camp in Maine to students aged 8-15 years. My first class consists of screening, testing and goal setting so I can get a good baseline to create an effective programme. I like to have structure to my classes by starting with a gradual warmup, moving into the main phase of the class, breaking down components of the workout where necessary and finishing with a cooldown. While teaching in the summer camp I set up fitness games before the cool down as an enjoyable way to finish the class. During the cooldown I ask what went good and what could be improved so that I can always make it better.
