A very personable and tailored approach to teaching, focussing on the individual’s needs and carrying out a short questionnaire with them which simply helps outline the goals they wish to achieve and how they assess their level of ability, what their strengths are and what areas they believe they can improve upon. Once a relationship between tutor and student has been developed i.e. the student is happy to go ahead, a tailored programme will be designed for the student to approve of/disapprove of. If the student is happy to go ahead with the programme, then the hours of teaching will begin and the tutor will carry out an assessment of the student’s skills and proficiency in the subject, this will usually be a short assessment initially. After this initial assessment, the student will be given feedback at the end of every 4 sessions completed, depending on whether they have met their objectives they will receive positive feedback and possibly in some circumstances, rewards. The tutor will also administer homework tasks from time to time, this will solely be to ensure the student is engaged and able to understand the material at hand.
