I regularly combine presentation style lectures (similar to TED talks) and practical demonstrations of particular software and techniques (e.g., GIS, data science in R, Excel platforms etc). I am responsive to questions and can discuss particular topics in great detail, while asking insightful questions to make students think about how the lessons connect to real-world examples and experience.
